On March 6, 2022, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, accompanied with Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar, BJP leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde, Mayor of Pune Murlidhar Mohol and other senior dignitaries, inaugurated the first Pune Metre Rail services and took a ride to experience the great convenience brought by the metro rail after the ceremony.

Pune Metro Rail, implemented and operated by the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation, is the first local metro rail project operated by India multinational vehicle manufacture Titagar. It is the first coach with aluminum alloy body independently designed and manufactured by India.The coaches are lighter, more energy-saving and beautiful. The Pune Metro rail project is under “Make in India” policy of the PM Modi and its first inauguration plays a significant role to the Pune Metro rail improvement.

In the Pune Metro Rail system, Passengers Information System (PIS), an advanced and friendly in-vehicle system which is introduced fully, is designed and manufactured by Huaqi Intelligent Technology. We have created multiple innovative technologies in this project as following:

High Reliability

Puna Metro Rail project is also Huaqi Intelligent Technology’s third metro rail project designed and implemented in Maharashtra followed by line No.2&7 in Mumbai Metro and Nagpur Metro. It is also a first overseas project that we have overcome the COVID-19 impact and realized multinational operation. Our team of the project has made breakthroughs in renovation and organized efficiently to guarantee and support the inauguration of the overseas project. We have witnessed that Huaqi is working on its internationalization unswervingly.

Since Huaqi involved in the first project of Kolkata Metro in 2015, it has made great progresses over the 7 years and implemented the Passengers Information System in all main metro projects. Up to now, there has been 9 Indian urban metro rail projects undergoing and 4 projects including Pune Metro Rail has inaugurated. Huaqi has been dormant for long because of the COVID-19, with the epidemic easing, it will soon realize its potential that has been accumulated for a long time. With greater enthusiasm, Huaqi will embrace the next milestone project, line No.2&7 of the Mumbai Metro which is going to be inaugurated and operated, and start the siege journey of the India market again in 2022, continuing to write a grand chapter!
