Today, the first “Guang Gu Guangzi Hao” sky train of the Wuhan Guang Gu Sky Rail Tourism Line project is marking its official opening in the CRRC Qingdao Sifang Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. This is the first commercial use operated sky train in China, creating the precedent for business use sky rail. After the kick start of the operation, tourisms can take the “Guang Gu Guangzi Hao” to sight see between the heaven and earth, enjoy the sceneries of the lakes and mountains, experience the new look of “city of science, city of light and city of the future!

The sky rail that is going to have its official opening is equipped with the intelligent PIS system that is provided by Huaqi. The Huaqi intelligent PIS system embraces the advanced and mature multimedia data handling technology, digital monitoring innovation, broadband network transmission technology, field transportation and control technology. It establishes a multimedia information handling and transmission platform in the train passenger compartment, offering a technical protection for the safety of the train operation, not to mention the rich information provided for the passengers’ travel. Sky train is a new type of low-volume rail vehicle. In contrast to the conventional form of transportation, the train is suspended underneath the track to let it to "fly in the air," while the track is supported in the air by columns. Sky train driving doesn't obstruct the right of way on the ground and has benefits such as high ascending ability, small turning radius, strong environmental adaptation, environmental friendly, low cost, and also serves as a mode of sightseeing.
